STARS Reflection- This project was fairly straightforward however actually acquiring all the information was super difficult. With food and dining, even one of the biggest voices in Parkhurst, Jamie Moore, couldn’t provide us with the information we needed to successfully complete the entire report. After finally being able to find the time to set up a meeting with Stu and then Alethea, we were able to find the answers to at least some questions. It was also frustrating because the STARS report is too long for even our entire class to complete, so it felt like all the research we were doing was in vain.
An “ah-ha” moment of this project was when we realized that Stu from the dining hall was going to be our greatest resource, whereas Jamie could not really provide us with any information regarding our dining hall and what kinds of things it offered and how it worked. Stu works in the dining hall and really had all the necessary information we needed to complete this project, as did Alethea.
